The LoveDog Foundation Ambassadors

Brand ambassadorship is the new wave taking over marketing. All brand ambassadors have one thing in common: They believe in the mission, goals, and values of the companies they represent, and they’re willing to share it with others. Anyone who knows who your organization is most likely already knows your mission, goals, and values. We do not need to teach every employee, volunteer, or ambassador why it exists; these individuals work with the organization because they already believe in what it stands for.

These people – the employees, volunteers, board members, community advocates, etc. – are a nonprofit’s mission ambassadors. They’re out talking about the causes they support and the mission of the organization they belong to. They identify not with your brand, but with your mission. They are the LoveDog Foundation “mission ambassadors.”

Who Can Be a Mission Ambassador?

Anyone who believes in the overall mission of your organization – people who volunteer their time, sit on boards, donate money, attend events, and work to meet the same goal that your organization was created to meet. While everyone can be a mission ambassador, there are three key groups that should be ambassadors: board members, employees, and volunteers.

Board Members: The people who sit on your nonprofit’s board already embody the values, ideals, and goals of your organization. They have the connections to not only build your brand, but to help the people in their networks understand your purpose. They’ll fill the tables at fundraising events and strengthen the relationship between your organization and other community members. They are the backbone of your nonprofit; it’s through their outreach that you’ll see a good amount of growth.

Employees: While employees may not have the extended networks of board members, they are inherently dedicated to the success of your nonprofit. They believe in your cause. They’re the ones actively pushing your nonprofit on toward victory. Like board members, employees should embody the ideals of your nonprofit and they should be working towards the same goals. It’s their passion, enthusiasm, and relentless dedication that will resonate with people.

Volunteers: A sometimes-overlooked group of ambassadors is your team of volunteers. These people show up to events and help out for no other reason than they believe in your cause (and that’s incredible). When they have an amazing experience with your nonprofit, they won’t be shy talking about it. To truly leverage these ambassadors, make sure they understand not just the goals you’re working toward, but how the organization was founded and why it exists. Then, it’s not just about the experience they had, but about the mission you’re working toward, too.

How Can Mission Ambassadors Make a Difference?

  1. Social Media Posts, Social Media Fundraising Campaigns

You don’t need 15,000 followers to make an impact. You just need to have an engaged group of people who are also willing to spread the word. We will make it easy for you to quickly share information with your followers and create images for you to share or a hashtag for one of your events that will prompt community engagement.

  1. Networking, Community Events, or Speaking Engagements

Networking and speaking engagements are always welcome once you feel comfortable with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. We do not expect our ambassadors to feel comfortable speaking in public settings however. We encourage you to share our content or deliver “your” message in a way that feels most comfortable to you. Our ambassadors can attend networking or fundraising events, conferences, or wherever you and your target audience feel most engaged. We encourage our ambassadors to spread the “LoveDog” love throughout our communities and help educate as much as possible about the positive health benefits of canine support dogs.

  1. Blog Posts

Every month, approximately 60 million new blog posts are published, and 409 million people view 22 billion pages. Are you already blogging or interested in blogging for LoveDog Foundation? You can also link back to our website, or re-post our website blogs. This will help us increase our presence among your networks and the linking will get Google’s attention as well. Every little bit helps! AND, you do not have to be local. Our organization already has training clients all over the country.  As an ambassador, you’ll be surprised at how much more muscle you can add to our mission.  Thank you for the consideration!

Please welcome our lead South Florida Ambassador,
our dear friend Julie Dorsch….

woman with therapy dog

As a career flight attendant, firefighter wife, and “mommy” (her favorite title) to 2 beautiful young girls who both have rare disease diagnoses, Julie is no stranger to witnessing the power of healing through the love of a dog.

When Julie’s youngest daughter was diagnosed with congenital Tethered Spinal Cord Syndrome, she and her husband jumped into the role of advocate, securing the best care and team of specialists across the country.  While at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital after her daughter’s 2nd spinal cord surgery, visits from Nutmeg, the therapy dog, played a special part in her daughter’s recovery, having a lasting impact on them both.

Upon moving to Palm City a few years ago, Julie’s own dog, Lola, developed fear and anxiety traits, becoming very protective over their family and new home.  After numerous failed attempts for help, she was given Rick Bailey’s name who worked his magic on Lola. Julie developed the upmost respect and admiration for LoveDog Inc. and the training team.  And Lola loves them, too!

With a background in client relations and the ability to empathetically relate to the needs of those with varying medical conditions, Julie is a natural fit to support The LoveDog Foundation mission.
